Recent events

 a) Chewing the fat  (Seminar at Kirkliston - Edinburgh)

There was a good turnout of men for this event. Just under 40 gathered at Kirkliston Community Church on Saturday 5 March. There were representatives from ten different churches present and lots to talk about in the two sessions which looked at how we can encourage Christian men and how we can reach out to men outside of our churches

 b) Curry and quiz (Outreach event  Glasgow)

Almost 120 men came together for a quiz and curry night with Brian Lowrie on Friday 18 March. Brian demonstrated his talents in an entertaining quiz followed by a challenging talk. Everyone was given a small booklet about Easter to take away with them.

Prayer

  • Pray for Ross as he runs the marathon. Pray that he'll be able to run well and finish the course.

  • Pray that lots of folks will get behind him and support his efforts on behalf of CMT.

  • Pray for the Torque festival scheduled for May 20/21. The information has gone out to lots of churches but now comes the hard bit.

  • Pray that lots of men will commit to the event by registering either individually or as a church group.

  • Pray that the Father's Day materials will be well used around the country and that many churches will become involved in men's ministry.
  • Pray especially for all Christian dads that they will be good role models for their children.
  • Pray for the plans for the sponsored event on Saturday 20th August.
  • Pray that whole families will sign up to walk, cycle or run.
  • Pray for the ongoing financial needs of CMT.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
