This seminar will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Erskine (8.30 - 1.00 pm). The day will start with breakfast followed by a series of seminars which will look at ways in which we can equip, encourage and evangelise men. The seminars will be led by members of the CMT team. Check out all the details on the web-site and book your place on-line by following the link at www.christianmentogether.com.
2. Web-site and Tony Anthony visit (March 19th)
Do people actually visit the web-site? Yes they do ! Folks from Avanti Ministries read the
article about organising men's breakfasts in a local cafe in Barrhead written by Andy McIntyre. Andy has just taken up a post as minister at Partick South in Glasgow. The upshot is that Tony Anthony will be speaking at Andy's church on Saturday 19th March at 7.00 pm. Do try to get along and take a friend with you.
3. Torque festival in May (20th - 21st)
This is an exciting event being organised by some men in Ayrshire in association with CMT.
There will be lots happening. The aim is to attract 1,000 men along so check out the details by following the link from CMT's web-site www.christianmentogther.com You'd better start looking out the tent and sleeping bag now! Book early and get a great discount.
4. Finance
The Board met this month (January) to review the year's budget. They have made changes to the original budget based on guaranteed income (January - June 2011). As a result the Scottish Manager's post will become a part-time one from March. The Manager will then work two days a week until the end of April when his hours will be reduced further to one day per week unless there is an increase in regular giving during that period.
