Greenview Men’s Mini Golf night at ‘Xscape’ in the Braehead complex, took place on Friday 19 November 2010. Over thirty men took part and we met there at 7.10 pm for a 7.30pm start. This gave us time to let everyone know what team they were in and what hole they were starting at. The cost of the night was £12.00 per head, which included an 18 hole round of mini golf plus a selection of food from the snack bar’s main menu. The car park was busy but everyone found a place to park.
The surroundings are very pleasant once you get out of the noise of the reception area and everyone enjoyed the competition and the usual banter. At the end there were prizes for the winners, (try beating a round of 38!) and of course the food!  Most folks settled for pie and beans and chips, but there was quite a good variety to choose from. Everyone bought their own drinks.
There was a mixture of Christian and non Christian men present, and at the end we circulated a copy of Ronald Tomlison’s testimony.  Ronald himself was drawn to faith in Jesus by listening to someone else’s testimony, so we are praying that history will repeat itself in this regard!   A few interesting conversations also took place during the night, and friendships were made and some strengthened.  If you are looking for a good night out with your men’s group this event we would recommend. Â
